It is the Tamil remake of Fazil's own Malayalam film Aniyathipraavu (1997). The film stars Vijay and Shalini (reprising her role from the original) while Sivakumar, Srividya, Manivannan, Dhamu, Charle, Thalaivasal Vijay and Radha Ravi play supporting roles. The film tells the story of a couple of differing backgrounds and beliefs and how they unite amidst the opposition of their families. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Anandakuttan. The film was released on 19 December 1997. It received positive reviews and became a box-office blockbuster. It was also Shalini’s first Tamil film as a leading actress, having previously acted as a child artist.
Plot
Jeevanantham "Jeeva" is a rich youth who has just completed his B.Com. Although his parents want him to marry a girl and settle down, Jeeva prefers to pursue MBA studies instead and is not interested in marriage. But his attitude changes when he meets Mini, a Christian girl who is a final year B.Com student, at a book store. He instantly falls in love with her. After a few incidents, he succeeds in winning Mini's heart.

However, Mini's elder brothers, a doctor named James, a police officer named Stephen, and a local goon named Thomas, who are all overprotective of her, eventually find out about their sister's relationship with Jeeva, and are furious. They thrash Jeeva, as well as his friends Kesavan and Raghavan, and warn Jeeva never to come near Mini. Undaunted, Jeeva takes Mini to his house, where Jeeva's father Rajshekhar too disapproves of their relationship, and throws them out of the house. Kesavan and Raghavan take the couple to their slum near Pondicherry, where Kesavan explains their situation to his father, who is a fisherman. Kesavan's father agrees to let the couple stay in his house, and also defends them from Mini's brothers, when they come to the slum to kill Jeeva. Later, Kesavan's father decides to get Jeeva and Mini married, but by now Jeeva and Mini have developed second thoughts about their relationship as their families are against it. They decide to break up and return to their families, which is accepted by Kesavan, his father and Raghavan. But despite breaking up, Jeeva and Mini cannot forget each other.

Meanwhile, Mini's marriage is fixed with someone else. Jeeva's mother decides to meet Mini before she gets married, so that she can get a better wife for Jeeva. Jeeva, his parents, as well as Kesavan and Raghavan, go to Mini's house, where both families apologise to each other for what had happened. But when Jeeva and his family are about to leave, Jeeva's mother breaks down and requests Mini's family to get Mini married to Jeeva. Mini's family, including her brothers, agree to this. Jeeva and Mini are happily reunited.

The rest of the movie is about how Viiav sets right evervthing.

This jazz track is a duet, with a lot of pep sprinkled on with romance, tightly loaded with lyrical melody. The song is reminiscent of the late 80s classic; the stand-alone speciality of this song is that it has adopted the styles of both English as well as Tamil cine music from that era, mixed them up in equal parts, wrapping it all in a package of consistent retro string score. Vijay Narain's gentle improvisation to the basic tune well complements
the lyrical excellence of Vairamuthu's. Dharshana has a deep captivating tone, which fits the sequence perfectly like the last piece of a jigsaw. First in sax, then in violins, the song has two masterpiece signatures, completing the grand package of a vibrant number.

Ghajini (Tamil: Kalimi) is a 2005 Indian Tamil psychological thriller film directed by AR Murugadoss.


The film stars Suriya, Asin, Nayantara, Pradeep Rawat and Riyaz Khan. It was dubbed and released in Telugu by Allu Aravind in November 2005, and both versions enjoyed critical and commercial acclaim and became super hit. It was remade into a Hindi film by Murugadoss again in 2008, starring Aamir Khan with Asin playing the same role.


The film explores the life of a rich businessman who develops anterograde amnesia following a violent encounter in which his love interest was killed. He tries to avenge the killing with the aid of Polaroid Instant camera photographs, permanent tattoos on his body and a medical college student. The film was inspired by Christopher Nolan's Memento.

Kavin and Naina are pushed out of several schools due to their hyperactive behavior. Their frustrated parents accidentally meet Thamizh, a psychiatrist, who becomes a savior for their children.

The movie story deals with Mariyaan Joseph a fisherman in a village named Neerody. He has an auspicious bond with sea and proudly claims himself as "Kadal Raasa". Panimalar falls in love with Maryan and does not shy away in confessing it to him. Maryan is loved and longed by Panimalar, but sadly, her feelings are not reciprocated. The more Maryan tries to keep Panimalar away from him, the closer she tries to get. This eventually leads to him falling for her. Once, Panimalar is caught in unfortunate circumstances and to support her financially, Maryan is forced to take up employment on contract basis for two years in Sudan. He then befriends Saami, and he is his only companion for Four years. He successfully completes his tenure and packs bags in jubilation to return to his ladylove, but tragedy strikes in the form of Sudanese terrorists, who end up kidnapping Maryan and two of his coworkers, demanding money for their freedom. One of his coworkers gets killed by the head terrorist. After 21 days in captivity, Maryan escapes with Saami and runs for his life. He gets separated from Saami, who gets killed later on, and gets lost in the desert and suffers from dehydration and confronts cheetahs as his mirage. After finding the coast, he fights the terrorist who catches up with him and escapes. He then returns to his village where his love is waiting for him.
